How do I convert speed between kilometers per hour and miles per hour?

Divide km/h by 1.60934 to get mph. Multiply mph by 1.60934 to get km/h. It's the same length factor applied to the numerator — speed is a length unit per unit time, so the length conversion carries straight through.

What are the metric prefixes for length?

SI prefixes scale by powers of ten: millimeter (mm, 10⁻³ m), centimeter (cm, 10⁻² m), meter (m, base), kilometer (km, 10³ m). For area and volume, the same prefixes apply but the conversion factors are squared or cubed. Use the area converter or volume converter for those.

What is the difference between a US survey foot and an international foot?
